In short we take your news to the world. Be it through a press release (to newspaper, magazine, website, television or radio), a photo or video shoot, even a website, we specialise in taking your message to its appropriate outlet.
That could be an industry magazine, tabloid newspaper or radio news service, we work through that with you to ensure your target market is best being contacted.
We have a small team of skilled individuals so you deal with a person, for that exact and specific task.
Yes, we're based in Christchurch New Zealand (and why not) - and being close to the airport puts us handy to the rest of the world. Or it may be a case of subbing one of our fine colleagues we have worked with over the years to work for you. Just ask us for a guaranteed less than 24 hours response.
It's often the written word that first captures people's attention. That's one good reason why you'd consider putting the onus on someone else to deliver your message. As much as people try to tell you it's a black art, about timing and pitching to the big fish, it's the years of experience that shine past all of that - it's about the results we've achieved.
Specialising in the world of motorsport, Com Technology has a broad path through service to teams, individuals, organisations and business.
And that doesn't just mean the word: it could be a photo, video, newsletter, or even: a book.
You know a picture is worth a thousand words and a good picture sells itself. You know the feelings you get from some of your favourite photos. We do too - and that's what we do for our clients.
A good photo is no mistake, it comes from understanding what you're striving for and capturing that. Our photo library illustrates that.
From a product launch, track day photo shoot or special announcement we can capture it.
As part of our versatile arsenal, we also have a specialised time-lapse camera unit that is suitable for long-term projects such as building construction/deconstruction. It uses a Nikon DSLR camera to capture high-quality still photos that can be stitched together for video type purposes. Completely stand-alone it only requires attention to change its massive memory card. We tell it what days and hours it's to start photographing and it faithfully snaps away at pre-set intervals.
It can be hired for a day's work or several months. Contact us for more information.
Often regarded the mainstay of mega-budget organisations, planning a video shoot can be worth the effort. However it's what you do with the raw video that makes or breaks it. We use television show producers, who do what they do because it's what people want. Isn't that what you want too?
An easy and usually neglected way of communicating your message to the masses, we've done a number of projects focusing on taking a website concept to a new level.
And continually pushing that level is what we're about. Integrating new technology; continually updating content to keep it with the times pays dividends. Simple things like newsletters, backups, spit-risk hosting are all tools we know well at securing your corner of the growing cloud.
That includes providing email solutions and hosting websites, all from $25+GST a month. Take a look at some of our examples on our client portfolio page.
Among our business arsenal we've also had to provide traffic management solutions and business principal has held the STMS (Level 1) qualification for seven years. So if you're in need of a traffic management plan or advice on dealing with Road Controlling Authorities (RCA's) then get in touch and we can assist.
Business principal Lance Hastie has been enjoying the trials and tribulations of main-stream media for 11 years, starting out as a motorsport correspondent for a car sales website. As the workload grew, Lance ended up as the editor of the entire website, pulling together a number of contributors to cover many motoring topics. And to fill a few gaps, Lance continued to take photographs, write team news, driver spiels and event reviews. Most of this content was filed to a greater audience, contributing to a growing PR objective.
Now very much a niche market, the networking to put news in front of the publishing outlets has reinforced who and what to send to whom and when. But one of the biggest lessons: being contactable.
Lance's passion for photography began as a ten-year-old on a windy Sunday afternoon, watching his cousin race an offroader. Following through the viewfinder of a camera seeded a life-long passion for capturing a moment as a picture.
Even though his parents weren't overly pleased at having a roll of expensive 110 film used up while trying to capture these cars mid-flight, the bug had bitten.
Many years and a couple of 'dabble' cameras later, the need for higher quality images to illustrate a website really kicked Lance's desire to continually get a better shot.
In the past 11 years Lance has enjoyed traveling to many countries around the world and photographed many amazing sights. A snap-shot of the recent past can be seen on the photo gallery page.
